Sage is an approximately 4-5 year-old female Australian Shepherd mix with a full tail. She was rescued from the Baldwin Park Animal Shelter about a year ago. She loves people, is very friendly and not shy at all. Although we know very little about her past, it is evident that she does not know how to socialize with other animals which has caused problems with the older female dog she is living with. Sage is okay with cats but will chase them if they run. Sage walks okay on leash but could really use an experienced handler with lots of time because she still has all of her natural instincts and tends to chase things. She loves car rides and running her heart out but is not willing to play with a ball for more than a minute or two. Sage tends to show dominance with other dogs and we are not sure how to handle this so it would be best for her if she gets a more experienced handler.
